Abstract

The Globalization process has led Latin American countries to carry out modifications in their educational systems in view of the need to generate necessary changes to the economic model. The issue of educational change is today a concern in most nations given the need to generate human capital. The current educational conditions were effective responses for the 19th century and for the first half of the 20th. This efficiency took a toll, our old elementary and middle schools cannot respond to new demands.
